We loved the staff, they made the stay; especially the cleaning staff and the ladies who prepared breakfast for us. Breakfast was a good mix between a full English breakfast and an American continental breakfast. Plenty of choices and options for all. The evening staff, for check in and food service were great as well. The pub food was wonderful, especially the steak and ale pie which comes with peas (I typically hate peas, but I LOVED the peas served with the meal). The pizza was also delicious. The room we stayed in had two twin beds, it's great for a sleeping space but not much else, which was what we were looking for since our main objective was to sightsee in central London and surrounding countryside. Please know that you will have to either walk or take a bus to the closest tube station or have a car with you to park and ride if you don't want to drive in central London. That was the only downside to staying at The Milford Arms.

Room was what you'd expect for a pub hotel. Clean, tidy and a little worn to be fair but not scruffy at all. Shower was absolutely fantastic, proper drenching. A large room fan was provided because it was stiflingly hot. With the windows open there is a lot of road and plane noise (overhead, not down the road!!!), but even though we come from a very quiet place, it was not annoying and faded into the background. Breakfast was buffet aka all you can eat and very nice. The lady doing the brekkies was lovely and a great lass to chat with. Perfect location for our visit itinerary including Kew Gardens and Richmond/Thames. Very regular buses to take you to tube if desired and a cute little park right across the road with lovely wild flowers if you want a small bimble after brekkie. Parking very easy and free.

Clean, comfy and a wonderful staff. Despite being a bit of a ride from downtown London, there is such a great transit system around to get you easily to all sorts of places, including into downtown if you want. For the price and the ease of movement, it is SO much more worth staying out here vs shelling out hundreds more to stay in the center of London. Especially loved going to Richmond and down to Hampton court. It was an easy little walk and then train ride (so cheap) to Waterloo, which stuck me in the heart of everything. The staff here was amazing. You are staying above a pub but closing time = total silence downstairs. Slept like a rock. Would definitely stay again.

What a great place! This modest pub excels at what it does - looks after people. The rooms maybe a bit snall, but trust me they are clean, warm and fresh. To cap it off is the staff. Feom checkin to breakfast to a nice pub meal later, the staff were brilliant. They teally go out if their way to support the brand and make u at home and leave happy. The foh staff really are worth their weight we found as bothing was too much for them at all. I will recommend abd will return anyday.

The room was comfortable and well designed in the British tradition. Everything was there, even the kettle for tea and coffee. It was really pleasant in the mornings to go down for breakfast and the ladies made you your meal on order. Not too many guests there were, thus it was quiet and I could watch the news while having my coffee. I know the area well and the place is very well located for places I needed to visit.
